Minister issued a warning to PSV operators

Bridgetown.

Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley, has warned minibus and ZR operators and owners that he has no intention of presiding over chaos or sitting idly while commuters endured  filthy lyrics on public service vehicles PSV).

The Minister told Trakker News that conductors on PSV must be dressed in decent uniforms as he will not he will not tolerate “sweaty conductors in armhole shirts and slippers stretching all over passengers”, while providing a vital service.

Lashley said that he is will to do all in his power to see that operators get a fair break, he the public had suffered long enough.

Lashley revealed,  that in two months work would begin on a new $4 million terminal at Seaview, Cheapside in the City, that will be the island’s first purpose-built facility for the accommodation of both Transport Board and privately operated buses, minibuses and route taxi.

Under no circumstances though, explained the minister, will private operators be allowed to take their unacceptable conduct into this facility.michael lashley_sm
