Minibus driver succumbs three days after severe beating by bandits.

Georgetown: Police today reported that 47 year old minibus driver Balram Teekeram  of Anna Catherina West Coast Demerara died at around 3 am, three days after being severely brutalized by bandits.On April 13 Teekaram and his 17 year old son were attacked by three armed men who proceeded to beat them and ransack the victim's home, making off with $700,000 in cash and other valuables. The man and his son were rushed to the hospital for treatment, but the elder Teekaram was admitted as a result of severe injuries. He did not recover from the beating.
