Georgetown: Police are seeking suspects involved in the murder of Kumar Mohamed, 25 years, of Enterprise, ECD, that occurred on Saturday last (Mashramani Day.)
Reports revealed that on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, Kumar Mohamed was visiting a liquor bar to make a purchase and was later involved in a confrontation with a group of men after an argument.
He was stabbed about his body with broken bottles by his assailant. However, his brother who rushed to his aid was also stabbed. They were later taken to a private city hospital where Mohammed succumbed to his injuries and his brother was discharged. Police have taken statements from the establishment where the attack occurred and the brother. No arrests were made and investigators are seeking the suspect’s whereabouts.
