Georgetown: An overseas-based Guyanese, Courtney Crum-Ewing who months ago sought 1000 signatures as part of a protest to register disgust with the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall was found executed Tuesday evening
The former Guyana Defence Force Officer was shot dead execution style along the roadway in Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
Crum-Ewing had carried out a one man protest for months outside the office of the Attorney General Anil Nandlall, calling for Nandlall’s resignation over statements he made during a recorded telephone conversation.
Ewing had recently he announced that he would be campaigning in his community of Diamond for the opposition parties contesting the upcoming elections.
It is unclear if there were multiple gunmen or what exactly occurred since police are investigation the circumstance under the man’s demise.
