Georgetown : Police ranks intercepted a motor vehicle at Bent Street, Georgetown, while responding to information received that the vehicle was used in a robbery on the East Coast of Demerara.
There was an exchange of gunfire between the police and the occupants of the motor vehicle which subsequently crashed at George Street, Georgetown, and the occupants escaped.
Information was later received that Silk Mc Lean called Arthur Nimrod, 25 years, of Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara, was at the Georgetown Public Hospital with gunshot injuries to his left side and left foot. He is under guard at the hospital.
