Port-of-Spain: A 48- year-old man collapsed and died aboard a water taxi vessel late yesterday evening.
Ancil Lawrence of Point Fortin was aboard the service's 4.30 sailing from Port-of-Spain to San Fernando when he appeared ill and collapsed.
The water taxi vessel returned to the Port-of-Spain terminal where he was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, but it was too late.
In a statement Nidco said its members of staff tried to help but were unsuccessful. They are also assuring that his death was in no way related to his ride aboard the vessel.
