A love affair turned sour when a 16-year old girl was murdered by her ex-boyfriend who later was found hanging from a tree in a North West District early Wednesday morning.
The young lady was identified as Zaleena Shadeek’s. Her abdomen was slashed and throat slit. Relatives who discovered the body of the fifth form student of Mabaruma Secondary School, rushed her for medical attention; however, she succumbed Thursday morning.
Her former lover’s body, 19-year old Ronnie Ramjit was found hanging from a tree at Hosororo Hill. Residents and relatives suspect he committed suicide.
Relatives disclosed that the young man had always threatening to kill her, as they had an abusive relationship.
Reports disclosed that efforts to get a plane to shuttle the young lady’s body to a city hospital was unsuccessful since there were no pilots available.
