Less flooding in Bridgetown

Bridgetown.

Two programmes launched over the last two years are responsible for  alleviating flooding in Bridgetown.

Head of the Drainage Keith Barrow told Trakker News, one of these programmes is operation Clean City which involves the cleaning of drains on Sundays.

The cleaning of the Constitution River every three months has also assisted with the reduction of flooding in the City, says Barrow.

He predicts that the development work being done by the Barbados Tourism Investment  will alleviate flooding in the upper part of Bridgetown when it is competed.
