Lisa Punch warmly received by President Ramotar

Guyanese artiste and entertainer Lisa Punch was warmly welcomed by the Head of State, President Donald Ramotar when she paid a courtesy call.

Accompanied by her parents and Manager Mary Brown, Ms Punch described her meeting with the president as very fruitful and encouraging. She said that she was inspired by President Ramotar to continue representing Guyana and making all Guyanese proud.

Ms Punch said that she is an entertainer, first and foremost, and she will be building on the exposure that she received through her participation in the ABC Rising Star programme which saw her giving very creditable performances, despite being eliminated after several rounds of competition.

According to her Manager Mary Brown, there are “big things” in store for Ms Punch and several collaborative ventures with well known American artistes are already planned, along with several other projects.

Lisa Punch, who attended the Bishops’ High School, and is well known, locally for her singing and stage performances, recently migrated to the United States after a stint with local radio. She was one of the main headliners at the recently concluded Guyana Festival, performing several hits.
