Jack Warner linked to missing FIFA funds for Haiti

Port-of-Spain: A fresh scandal has evolved involving FIFA funds which were allegedly allocated to former FIFA Vice-President and Works and Infrastructure Minister Jack Warner which were donated to the Haiti disaster relief following the devastating earthquake in 2010.

An exclusive report by the UK Sunday Times alleged that close to three quarters of a million US dollars donated by FIFA and South Korea never made it to the Federation of Haitian Football.

According to the article FIFA confirmed that it wired $1.6 million to the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation account to be used as emergency aid in Haiti.

However the TTFF has been unable to properly account for the missing funds and as a result, FIFA has threatened to stop funding the local football body until further notice.

FIFA says the TTFF will feel the brunt of its sanctions for failing to account for the money.

The report says only $381,000 made it to grief-stricken nation from the aid money allegedly given to Warner.
