Industrial action at biscuit company

Bridgetown.

Twenty workers of the Sales Department of the West India Biscuit Company, Wibisco (WIBC), stopped work  this morning.

According to shop steward Michael Farrell told the media that the employees took the  industrial action to press for several demands.

They primary concern centred on the responsibility for keys to several products sold by the company, which salesmen and delivery vans drivers said they first brought to management's attention in March.

The issue was resolved after a representative of the Barbados Workers Union meet with the workers at the factory.  WIBISCO is the lone biscuit factory on the island.
