Hitler at the UWI says trade union boss

Bridgetown.

General Secretary of the Barbados Workers Union  (BWU) Sir Roy Trotman has indicated that industrial action might be brewing at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI).

The veteran trade union told the press last night that several workers in at the UWI are encountering problems with a head of a department, who is making it difficult for them to function at  their workplace.

"It is difficult to understand how a progressive institution such as the UWI can have a department head whose mentality is rooted in the past. A person who shows no respect for the workers in a certain department", Sir Roy said.

"If this latter day Hitler does not change their ways and treat these workers in a respect manner, the BWU will be taking industrial action at the UWI", he added.

Sir Roy stressed that the BWU has no problem with Sir Hilary Beckles  the principal of the Cave Hill Campus .
