Bridgetown.

Heavy polling are reported in some constituencies as Barbadians cast their vote in the general elections. Some voters lined up outside polling stations from 5 a.m in an effort to cast their ballot early.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart casted his vote at the Bayley's Primary School in St Philip just after 10 o'clock this morning.

Stuart told reporters he was concern about reports that was voters were being paid cash for their votes.

"The right to vote is a process that many of our forefathers fought very hard for and the thought of people selling it for cash  makes me very uncomfortable", Stuart said.

He added that restructuring the economy would be a priority if his party is re-elected to power.
