Guyana’s OLPF laptops missing

Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon, today confirmed that the Guyana Police Force has launched an investigation into the disappearance of a quantity of laptops from its Office of the President driven program.
The One Laptop Per Family (OLPF) program looks to distribute some 90,000 over a three year duration free of cost to vulnerable families, but has been plagued with hiccups.
The missing laptops were being housed in its Forshaw Street, bond and it is currently unclear just how many of the pieces of equipment have gone missing.
No one has been charged in connection with the incident as yet as police continue their investigation.
