Sat_recovered Port of Spain; Quick action by a joint police and army patrol in the Beetham area, led to the recovery of several stolen electronic equipment items believed to be the items stolen from the Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha's (SDMS) radio station. The equipment is valued at approximately $300,000.

Two suspects were held ages 17 and  26 from the Beetham Gardens, Port of Spain area. they were held while driving a Mazda car loaded with computers, amplifiers and other equipment taken from the station which was identified by technicians.

Meanwhile the Secretary General of the SDMS, Satnaryan Maharaj who is also the managing director of the station, believe the break-in was politically motivated. He believe this was due to the fact they are the only radio station to vocally come out in support of the government, and the opposition is fearful as local government elections draws near.

Mr. Maharaj said he noticed there have been some interference in the reception of some of their programs but said the station will turn the disaster into a success as he intends to come back stronger. Investigations are continuing.
