ECD : Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that on the Happy Acres Public Road, East Coast Demerara, and which resulted in the death of a so far unidentified woman of Amerindian descent.
Investigations so far have revealed that the victim allegedly attempted to cross the roadway and was struck down by a motor vehicle. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
