A teenaged mother and a young baby died last night in a deadly collision at lower Estate Road, St Michael.
Akalia Mayers 17, and three month old baby Shaquan Crichlow both of Eastlyn, St George, died when the taxi (van) she and three others were travelling in collided with a trailer.
According to Police reports, the left arm of another passenger Mellissa Crichlow was severed.
Dashawn Mayers,the one year old son of the deceased woman was also injured.
The condition of the driver of the van Troy Clinton could not be ascertained, he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
