Outgoing president of the Barbados Association of Journalists (BAJ) Emmanuel Joseph has suggested that the association
establish a crisis fund to assist media workers.
Joseph made the comment at the annual general meeting of the BAJ over the weekend.
According to the Joseph, a number of media workers have been laid off in the past 18 months and some media houses are not paying their workers on time.
The fund says Joseph would help affected workers paid their rent, mortgages and utilities bills.
