Coalition Of Unified Parties in elections fray

Three candidates are contesting the general elections on February 21 under the banner of the Coalition of Unified Parties (CUP).

CUP is the umbrella body representing the People's  Democratic Congress and the Bajan Free Party.

Mark Adamson of the People's Democratic Congress is running in St Michael North against Ronald Toppin of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) and Francis Depezia of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP). 

 Eric Marshall and Steve Hunte of the Bajan Free Party are contesting seats in St James Central and Christ Church South respectively. Marshall's opponents are George Hutson of the DLP and Kerrie Symmonds of BLP.  Hunte is running against John Boyce of the DLP and Dr Jerome Walcott of the BLP.

A spokeman for CUP told Trakker News the party is serious in their attempt to make an impact in a country were independents were seldom successful.
