Chaguanas Mayor charged for using cell phone while driving

Chaguanas: Chaguanas Mayor Orlando Nagessar has been given a ticket of $1000 after being stopped by police for talking on his cellular phone while driving.

The mayor has commended the police after he was issued a ticket. The mayor was driving along factory road in Chaguanas when the incident occured Thursday night.

Nagessar said that as a servant of the people he feels compelled to listen to his burgesses when they call him. As he answered his phone the mayor says he was stopped by a police officer, who issued him a $1000 ticket for driving while on his cell phone.  

The mayor admits he is guilty and would pay the fine. He also commended the police officer for being vigilant and for ensuring that the law is not broken by anyone regardless of the office they hold.
