Berbice : The police are investigating the death of Ajay Suraj, 6 years, of Sixth Street, Islington, East Bank Berbice, which occurred at about 10:45 today.
According to police in region five, Ajay Suraj was in the company of his stepfather Maheshwar Sookram who was carrying out repairs to a motor vehicle which was jacked-up at the time. The vehicle is reported to have slipped of the jack and crushed Ajay Suraj who was pronounced dead at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
