Prime Minister of Barbados Freuendel Stuart, says when he meets with Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamala Persad -Bissessar at the 33rd Meeting of the Heads of Government Conference of the Caribbean Community CARICOM), which begins in St Lucia this morning he will be making it clear that Barbados will not be push around.

Stuart told reporters after chairing a meeting of the Prime Ministerial Sub Committe of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), while  he is not planning to pick a fight with the twin island republic over the  blocking of Barbadian goods into Trinidad and Tobago,  he plan to warm Persad-Bissessar  her country has too much to loose in Barbados to make that mistake again.

"Trinidad and Tobago has massive interests in Barbados and it cannot serve the interest of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and it cannot serve Trinidad and Tobago as a country to be rubbing Barbadians the wrong way", Stuart told reporters yesterday.

"The relationship between Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago is an symbiotic one,Trinidad has massive investment in Barbados and cannot afford to have Barbadians feel that they are being hard done in the relationship between the two countries, therefore we must up our game a bit, be a little more vigilant and ensure that we do not allow these things to happen", he added.

Last month, managing director of Bank Holding Limited Richard Cozier informed the media that the Trinidad and Tobago's Food and Drugs Division was making his company adhere to labelling  standards not being met by manufactures in that country.

Former Minister of Trade Stephen Cadiz, later acknowledged that the Food and Drug Division had no grounds to stop the Barbadian products from being so in Trinidad.
