East Coast Demerara : Today at around 8:30a.m Glendon Cosbert and his wife were walking along an access road at Haslington, ECD, when they were confronted by two men armed with handguns who held them up and took away the jewellery that Cosbert was wearing at the time.
Glendon Cosbert put up a resistance during the robbery and was shot to his left leg. He is receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Hospital.
The motor vehicle that the perpetrators reportedly used to escape from the scene was later found abandoned in the Haslington North area.
Investigations are in progress.
