West Coast Demerara : The police today have launched an investigation into an armed robbery which took place at Waller’s Delight on the West Coast of Demerara.
Reports are businesswoman Nandranie Deodat was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, yesterday.
Deodat, who sells jewellery, was about to enter her premises when she was held at gunpoint by the two perpetrators who took away a bag containing gold and silver jewellery valued at
$8M along with $130,000.00 and escaped in a waiting motor vehicle.
The 32 year old woman was not injured during the robbery.
