APNU supporters drive fear in the city

 

Georgetown : Just after 2pm today the few business places down town, Georgetown along with Banks and Insurance companies pulled down their shutters, closed doors and send their staff home after word spread that there will be a riot. This has also force the police to set up barricades at strategic points.

Trakking this story, this publication captured APNU supporters moving in several vehicles and otegic pointn motorcycles shouting “WE WIN” even though the Guyana Elections the commission (GECOM) is half way with their count.

The APNU supporters felt that this has been a delay tactic in releasing the preliminary results of the November 28 polls. The situation was further heightened when messages of the ruling party PPP/C declare they won posting on the presidential candidate Donald Ramotar facebook account. Ramotar has since distance himself claiming that the messages were placed there by enthusiastic supporters.

TrakkerNews was also reliably informed that ballot boxes were found at a resort up the Essequibo river and is presently seeking an explanation from GECOM.

APNU PM Candidate Rupert Roopnarine is presently on a private TV station in the capital city Georgetown calling on his supporters to be patient and avaoid any situation at this time.
