All’s set for royal visit next week

Port-of-Spain All's set for a royal visit of the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth the Second and his wife, Prince Edward and Princess Sophie who carry the titles the Earl and Countess of  Wessex.

The full itinerary has been released by the British High Commission.

They would arrive on Tuesday February 28th and will call on President George Maxwell Richards before attending the President's award function, which is part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar will host the royals for lunch and the British High Commissioner will host them for a reception to celebrate the queen's diamond jubilee.

On Wednesday the royals will visit the Belmont Boys' School to learn how the London 2012 Olympic legacy will benefit Trinidad and Tobago.

Princess Sophie will visit the Princess Elizabeth Centre and will unveil a plaque commemorating  the visit.

The royal couple will then jointly visit the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force headquarters to observe a military parade.

Later that afternoon they will both visit the St John's Ambulance headquarters and their visit will conclude with a dinner by members of the British business community and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Stephen Cadiz.
