Police recruits urged to maintain high standards

Kingston.

National Security Minister, Peter Bunting, has urged  new recruits of the Jamaica Constabulary  to maintain the highest standards of professional excellence, integrity and discipline in discharging their duties.

Bunting told the recruits,  the Government has been undertaking a number of initiatives aimed at transforming the force into a professional, accountable and resourceful body, which can effectively deliver on its mandate.

He noted the transformation cannot take place  without the cooperation and commitment of every personnel, including new recruits.

The National Security Minister was speaking yesterday at a passing out parade for 183 recruits of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the Island Special Constabulary Force at the Jamaica Police Academy in St Catherine.
