Essequibo : The police conducted a drug eradication operation in the backlands of Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast.
A two-acre field of about 2,000 marijuana plants, ranging in height from 1 foot to 3 feet, was found under cultivation and was destroyed along with an abandoned camp.
No one was arrested.
