Youth cannot find a place in society says Prime Minister

Bridgetown.

Too many young people  in the Caribbean cannot find a  place in the countries which educated them says Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.

Speaking yesterday  to the congregation  at the Church of Christ Christian Church in Jezreel, St Philip, which included delegates to the Caribbean International Youth Convention.

Stuart said the islands of the Caribbean had a lot of enthusiastic youthwho are facing a whole set of challenges to their faith and their future.

"That makes it neccessary for us told hold their hands and to make sure that we take them through these very difficult periods and help them on to a mature and wise adulthood", Stuart said.

He told the congregation that the future of the region depends less on what adults will do and more on what the youth will do. In view of that, he told the deglates that had to determine what they wanted for themselves and the region.

Delegates from Jamaica, St Vincent, Grenada, Antigua, Guyana, St Vincent and host country Barbados are attending the convention.
