Georgetown: New Year’s Day commence with murders after two cousins were killed shortly after leaving a game cock gambling location at Friendship, East Bank Demerara. The gunman escaped.
Dead is cattle farmer Hazrudeen Hussain, 23, of Little Biaboo Mahaica Creek and David Singh of Orange Walk Bourda.
Hussain was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was pronounced dead. Reports reveal that he is also a final year pharmacy student at the University of Guyana. He sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and chest.
According to reports two masked men pounced on the duo. This has led investigators to believe that the incident was a hit since none of the victims valuables were taken. According to reports, the men were leaving a game bird competition venue at Friendship when they were confronted by their assailants and shot in the vicinity of the Friendship Secondary School.
