Essequibo : The police are investigating the murder of Domestic Mohini Gobin called “Baby,” 46 years of Sparta, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), which occurred yesterday, at Silver Beach, Roden Rust, EBE.
The police say earlier in the morning, a man with whom Mohini Gobin was having a relationship went to her home to collect his lunch, during which he took away her cell phone and left for work at Roden Rust.
Mohini Gobin subsequently went to the man’s work place where an argument developed between them over the phone. She was allegedly struck to her head with a piece of metal by the suspect and was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The suspect was later arrested and is under guard at the West Demerara Regional Hospital, as it has been confirmed that he has ingested a poisonous liquid.
