Wanted robbery convict caught with gun in house

Georgetown : A twenty-five year old Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, resident who  was recently sentenced in absentia for a total of five years, having been charged with robbery under arms and unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, was early this morning arrested by ranks of the Guyana Police Force, at his home.

 

However, before the convict is taken to the prison to serve his sentence, he has to face two additional charges for possession of arms and possession of ammunition.

 

During the search of his house, where he was arrested, ranks found an unlicensed 9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol with seven matching rounds.
