Chairman of the Cave Hill Campus Council, Paul Altman has thanked the business community for maintaining its commitment to the University of the West Indies.
Speaking at the Cave Hill Campus' 2013 Student Awards Ceremony recently, Altman said the UWI was thankful that businesses continue to help even though they have had to tighten their belts.
He stated that UWI was particularly grateful to two companies, which between them, have provided over 150 thousand dollars in scholarship money.
Over 100 students from all of the faculties were rewarded for their exceptional achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
