University to upgrade with US$10M World Bank loan

ugGeorgetown: Within three months the University of Guyana’s should be upgrading its Science and Technology project, according to officials.

The World Bank in August 2011 disclosed their approval of a US$10M loan undertake works at the University of Guyana.  This is geared to support Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) strategy.

The project is scheduled to conclude in 2017. The University has 20 years to reimburse the loan.
