Georgetown: Tragedy on the Coverden, East Bank Demerara roadway claimed the lives of two persons Thursday morning after the driver of one of the vehicles may have fallen asleep while driving and careened into the path of the oncoming traffic. A Toyota white Spacio collided with a truck that was driving in the opposite direction. The body of the front-seat passenger of the Spacio hung over the dashboard of the car while what appears to be a broken bone protruded from his left arm. The two persons who died were identified as 49 – year – old Rohini Durga, of Grove East Bank Demerara and 72 – year – old George Madulall, of Timehri East Bank Demerara.
