Essequibo : Rudolph Persaud of Hogg Island, Essequibo, and Roy Williams of Port Kaituma, North West District, were walking along a dam at Northern Hogg Island when shots were discharged in their direction.
Rudolph Persaud was hit to his abdomen and neck, while Roy Williams was hit to his chest. They were taken to the Suddie Hospital where Rudolph Persaud was pronounced dead on arrival and Roy Williams was admitted for medical treatment.
A man and a woman have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
