Two passengers died after car crashed into utility pole- driver detained

East Bank Demerara : The driver of a motor car is presently detained as the police launch an investigation in to the death of two passengers. The police say, this morning at around 3hrs at New Hope Public Road, East Bank Demerara, the driver of motor car PFF 204 crashed. and which resulted in the death of  Denzil Thomas, 21 years, of Timehri and Qunicy David, 22 years, of Soesdyke.

The driver of motor car was proceeding along the roadway, allegedly at a fast rate, when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a utility pole and a concrete fence.

 As a result Denzil Thomas, Quincy David and Amanda Lloyd of Soesdyke, who were passengers in the motor vehicle, received injuries.  They were taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where Thomas and David succumbed while receiving medical treatment.

 Amanda Lloyd has been admitted to the Georgetown Hospital for further medical treatment.
