East Coast Demerara : The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Giovani Leitch called “Joe Joe”, 21 years of Middle Street, Sparendaam, ECD, and Devon Agard called “Chucky”, 21 years of Goedverwagting, ECD, which occurred at about 3:30p.m today at Northslip Street, Sparendaam.
According to reports, the two victims were attacked by a man armed with a firearm who discharged a number of rounds at them and escaped. Giovani Leitch was shot to his chest and abdomen and Devon Agard was shot to his chest, abdomen and lower back. They have been admitted to the Georgetown Hospital.
A number of live rounds and spent shells have been recovered at the scene by the police.
