Georgetown: Almost two dozen Qualfon Guyana Inc, Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara employees were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Tuesday after collapsing.
Hundreds of workers occupy the building throughout the day.
Reports disclosed that this was a result of having to work without functioning air conditioning units after there was a power outage. The staffs were made to work in a heated and choked environment.
A technical team later visited Qualfon to get the generator up and running in wake of persistent power outage.
