Trinidadian woman caught with drugs

Bridgetown.

Charlen Ulanda Ferguson, 33, is expected to appear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today  accused of possession of 1.74 kilos of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

Police say the Trinidadian woman arrived at the Grantley Adams Airport yesterday morning  and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel after she cleared immigration.

She  was referred to Customs, where a search was conducted but nothing was found.

Ferguson  was then taken to Oistins Police Station under suspicion of having a controlled substance and when a more detailed search of her luggage was conducted, liquid cocaine was found in 218 bottles of cosmetics in a box.
