Tony’s Auto Spares, Albertown residents join in Independence cleans up

20150526_104215Georgetown: As Independence celebrations were in full swing Tuesday morning, the independence was also seen in the mood of a cleanup campaign which proprietor of Tony's Auto Spares commenced at 72 Light Street Alberttown, Georgetown. He was joined by many residents in the area in regaining and promoting the ‘Garden City’ status.

Recently citizens as well as public and private sector organizations have been pooling their resources in response to the initiative to transform the city.

20150526_104318(0)Residents of the Alberttown community came out in their numbers with shovels, rakes, cutlasses, brush cutters and some even went as far as to provide their own personal vehicles to aid in this massive clean up effort aimed at restoring the community.

20150526_104243Many residents have expressed their satisfaction at the initiative. They deemed it as something that would better the environment.

Tony Ramcharran in an invited comment says “he is proud to be a part of this clean up campaign and would like to encourage all private businessmen like himself to help keep their communities clean, if each does his part then the entire Guyana will be a better place.”
The management and staff of Tonys Auto spares were thankful for residents in their support in the initiative.
