Today is Common Entrance Exam day

About 3811 primary school students will sit the Barbados Secondary School's Entrance Examination (BSSEE), also called the Common Entrance Exam, today.

According to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development,1955 boys and 1856 girls are registered to write the examinations at 22 secondary schools across the island.

Among the numbers are 12  students who have been granted permission to write the exam early.

The Ministry told Trakker News that 80 boys and 48 girls  requested to be deferred from writing the BSSEE.

They were also special requests made by students, primarily for extra time and enlarged print.

Last year, 3686 students sat the exam.
