Three Months Educational program for ACIC

Maulana MujahidGeorgetown: The Anna Catherina Islamic Complex (ACIC) and Madrasa Nooranie, Guyana’s First Sunni Muslim School announced that Pakistani Muslim Scholar, Maulana Qari Muhammad Mujahid will be conducting a series of classes and other educational activities for the next three (3) months at the ACIC.

Maulana Mujahid, who has been in Guyana prior to Ramadan, is a graduate from Kanzul Iman College of Lahore, Pakistan and is a Qari (a beautiful recite of the Quran) and a Maulana (Muslim Scholar). While in Guyana, Maulana Mujahid will also be associated with activities and programs organized by the Guyana United Sadr Islamic Anjuman (SADR).

 Maulana Mujahid, who is a Sunni (Hanafi) scholar, is a great boost the Muslim community in Guyana. He will be based at the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex but will travel extensively throughout Guyana. He will also be teaching Urdu as a language to both Muslims and non-Muslims.

The school is operated by the ACIC in association with The Guyana United Sadr Islamic Anjuman. It was founded by the late Maulana Noorul Hadi Haleem of Pakistan and open it doors in 2005. The Madrassa caters for classes in Tajweedul Quran, Urdu Language, Basic Islamic Foundation Courses and Imams Training programs etc. Classes are for both male and female and are based on the Ahle Sunnatwal Jamaat, Hanafi Mazhab.
