Three dead by separate road accidents-two drivers on the run

 

Georgetown : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred last night where an unidentified man of East Indian descent was reportedly struck down by a motor vehicle which drove away.

 

Meanwhile two other persons lost their lives today by road accidents.

 

 38 year old Colin Sears of North Sophia was walking along the roadway Coverden, East Coast Demerara, when it is alleged by the driver of motor car PLL 2675 that Sears attempted to cross the road and was struck down by the motor car and then ran over by an oncoming motor lorry.

  

The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.

 

This morning Good Hope, East Coast Demerara ( ECD), pedal cyclist Harrichan Baliram of Foulis, ECD, was cycling along the roadway when he was allegedly struck down from behind by a motor vehicle which drove away from the scene.
