Three children die in Drop-in Centre fire

Drop in CentreGeorgetown: Three children died in the wee hours of Thursday morning as fire gutted the Children’s Drop-in Centre on Hadfield Street, Georgetown. Reports reveal that two brothers age five and six years perished. Their names were not immediately available. Twenty-eight other children were not injured. They were transferred to a child care facility at Sophia. Two girls were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after they collapsed. They are listed as stable.  Fire fighters said the fire began by a security light on the building and quickly swept through the facility.
