Georgetown : The Guyana Hindu Dharic Sabha’s annual Diwali Ustav starts this year’s celebration of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali.
The cultural event was staged at Guyana International Conference Centre (GICC) featuring international recording artistes Gunjan Singh and Jeffrey Iqbal.
Among the thousands present were President Donald Ramotar, Former President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds. With a thrilled performance by the singers, President Ramotar joined on stage to the delight of the audience.
Diwali will be observed and celebrated in Guyana next Sunday.
