Telecommunication Bill to start Parliament off in 2013

Georgetown: The next sitting of the National Assembly billed for Thursday (January 3) will see the Government seeking to de-monopolize the telecommunication sector through a bill being piloted by Prime Minister, Samuel Hinds.

The Bill paves the way for an Act of Law to provide for the establishment of the Telecommunications Agency and for a regular, coordinated, open and competitive telecommunications sector and for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
