Teeenage gunman remanded

tA 17 year old who  robbed a Point shopkeeper at gunpoint last week  appeared in the St John’s Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh yesterday.

According to reports, the teen entered D&G Supplies at about 11:20 am on May 23 and demanded money, the shop-keeper refused.  He brandished a firearm and pointed it in the shopkeeper’s face, and she gave him all the money in the register.

After emptying the cash pan, the dissatisfied bandit searched the Wilkinson’s Cross business, but was unable to find additional cash, and reportedly left the establishment quietly.

He has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
