Georgetown : Taxi-driver Dwayne Estwick of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was attacked and robbed of his motor car at Kiskadee Drive, South Ruimveldt, by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. He was shot and injured to his buttocks during the incident.
One of the men had hired Dwayne Estwick at Stabroek Market to go to South Ruimveldt. There the other man joined him and they then attacked and robbed the taxi-driver.
Dwayne Estwick has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The motor vehicle has not been recovered as yet.
