Taxi driver shot during robbery

Georgetown : The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at Go-Slow Avenue, Georgetown, during which taxi-driver Samuel Pinder, 43 years, of Albouystown, Georgetown, was shot and injured.

The police says Pinder picked up two men as passengers on Robb Street to go to Tuc-Ville. During the journey he was held up by the two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, and shot to his left side face. The perpetrators then escaped with Pinder’s silver coloured Premio motor car HA 2206.

Samuel Pinder has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
